Questions

About the process

Not usually. Most applicants complete the form by entering their income and outgoing figures — no document upload required at application stage. If you choose to connect via Open Banking it provides read-only access to your transaction history (we never see your login credentials). For Plus-tier applications or complex income, we may ask for bank statements during underwriting.

We'll tell you the outcome and, where we can, give a general indication of the reason. For automated decisions, we may not be able to give full reasons. If you were declined based solely on automated processing, you have the right to request a human review of that decision — just email us at [email protected].

Your personalised offer is held for up to 30 days from the date of issue. There is no pressure to accept immediately. If you have questions about your offer, contact us before signing.

Yes. You have a 14-day contractual cooling-off period from signing. Cash Train is an unregulated lender — the Consumer Credit Act 1974 does not apply to your agreement — but we provide this right contractually. To withdraw, notify us in writing within 14 days. You'll need to repay the principal (plus any interest accrued to the date of repayment) within 30 days of withdrawal. There are no penalties.

Faster Payments typically arrives within seconds, but some banks may take up to 2 hours. If you have not received funds within 3 hours of signing, contact us at [email protected] with your application reference number.

Representative example: Borrow £500 over 6 months. 6 monthly repayments of £95.21. Total interest £71.26. Total repayable £571.26. Representative 49.9% APR (fixed). Interest rate 40.96% per annum. Subject to status. 18+ UK residents only.
